SOOP's StarCraft esports league "Google Play ASL Season 21" will enter the round of 24 starting on the 23rd, the company said on the 20th.
ASL is a league played with "StarCraft: Remastered" and has continued since it began in 2016. Google Play is participating as the official sponsor this season.
Week 1 of the round of 24 will begin with Group A on the 23rd. Group A will feature Jo Gi-seok, Yoo Seung-gon, Jung Yoon-jong, and Yoon Chan-hee, while Group B on the 24th will see Kim Min-cheol, Gen.Kim Tae-young, Jung Young-jae, and Choi Ho-seon face off. Group C on the 25th will feature Jo Il-jang, Yoon Su-cheol, Lim Hong-gyu, and Lee Young-han.
In Group D on the 30th, Lee Jae-ho, Kim Yoon-hwan, Kim Ji-sung, and Park Sung-gyun will compete, and Group E on the 31st is a Terran-focused group featuring Yoo Young-jin, Lim Jin-mook, Lee Young-ho, and Lee Young-woong. Group F on Apr. 1 will feature Do Jae-wook, Shin Sang-moon, Kim Myung-woon, and Lee Jae-dong.
The round of 16 will include 12 players who advance from the round of 24, joined by seeded players Park Sang-hyun, Jang Yoon-chul, Kim Taek-yong, and Hwang Byung-young. The round of 16 group selection will take place on Apr. 6.
The tournament will be held offline with spectators at the FreakUp Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul, and tickets can be reserved every Thursday from 5 p.m.
