SK Group's IT services affiliate SK AX saw operating profit top 200 billion won last year on the back of expanding its AX (artificial intelligence transition) business.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 19th, SK AX's standalone revenue last year was 2.7467 trillion won, up 5.4% from a year earlier. Operating profit rose 38.6% in the same period to 209.8 billion won.
SK AX cited a shift centered on artificial intelligence (AI) as the driver of this performance growth. The company said profitability improved as demand for AI and cloud transitions across industries led to business expansion. An SK AX official said, "Companywide operational innovation pursued consistently and productivity enhancement activities based on agentic AI also contributed to performance growth."
