HANMI Semiconductor said on the 19th it was selected as a corporation that contributed to revitalizing the regional economy and received the "Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor's Commendation."
The Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an awards ceremony for the "Incheon Metropolitan City meritorious contributor to regional economic revitalization commendation" at Incheon City Hall on the day and presented a commendation to HANMI Semiconductor. Incheon selects corporations with high contributions to local finances based on local government tax payment records and has been presenting commendations since 2025. This ceremony was based on local government taxes paid last year for 2024.
HANMI Semiconductor's 2024 revenue was 558.9 billion won, up 251% from a year earlier, marking a record high. Operating profit during the period was 255.4 billion won, up 638%. In 2025, it again set a record with annual revenue of 576.7 billion won.
HANMI Semiconductor is a semiconductor equipment corporation with about 320 customers worldwide. According to market research firm TechInsights, it ranks No. 1 with a 71.2% share in the "TC bonder" market used in the core process of high bandwidth memory (HBM) packaging.
It is currently operating six production plants in the Juan National Industrial Complex in Seo-gu, Incheon. With the construction of the seventh plant, the "Hybrid Bonder Factory," scheduled for completion in the first half of next year, it is accelerating capacity expansion targeting demand for artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors. With this investment, HANMI Semiconductor will have a semiconductor equipment production line totaling 27,083 pyeong (89,530㎡).
The Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, "Even amid difficult economic conditions such as a recession, HANMI Semiconductor has continued exemplary corporate management and has made a significant contribution to increasing Incheon Metropolitan City's tax revenue and revitalizing the regional economy." A HANMI Semiconductor representative said, "We will continue to enhance the global competitiveness of the semiconductor industry and become a corporation that contributes to the local community."
