Tmap Mobility said on the 18th that its analysis of the top 1,000 annual driving data sets for 2024 and 2025 found that movement patterns to wedding halls, funeral homes, and medical facilities are linked to changes in demographic indicators.
The number of times wedding halls were set as a destination rose 55.4% from a year earlier. According to the Ministry of Data and Statistics (MODS) "December 2025 population trends," marriages during the same period totaled 243,70, up 8.1% from the previous year.
Visits to funeral homes fell 7.4% from a year earlier. According to the Ministry of Data and Statistics (MODS) "2025 birth and death statistics (provisional)," the number of deaths was 363,389, up 1.3% from a year earlier. Visits to crematoriums during the same period increased 2.3%.
Visits to medical facilities rose 10.8% from a year earlier. General hospitals increased 10.9%, and hospitals increased 17.6%.
A Tmap Mobility official said, "Changes in movement data related to weddings, funerals, and the use of medical facilities are indicators that show social trends," adding, "We will analyze related trends through destination-based driving data."
