C-Platform, an IT solutions corporations of ITCEN Group, said on the 18th that it is entering the high-performance, security-embedded virtualization market with the launch of its next-generation virtualization platform Smart-V.
Smart-V is an enterprise virtualization platform based on the open-source Proxmox. Compared with existing commercial virtualization solutions, it features a reasonable expense structure and flexible scalability. Through a graphics processing unit (GPU) resource linkage function, it supports AI, Machine Learning, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and delivers stable performance in desktop virtualization (VDI) and server virtualization environments.
The company expects Smart-V to become an alternative platform that can respond to structural changes in a VMware-centered market.
Smart-V integrates platform architecture with security technology based on post-quantum cryptography (PQC) held by ITCEN PNS. It is designed with security as the default across the virtualization stack, including virtual machine (VM) and storage-level encryption, a management portal with built-in authentication, and a security-first application structure when linking GPU resources.
The company said this enables infrastructure-level security reliability even as AI-based hacking threats become more sophisticated.
Bae Geun-tae, CEO of C-Platform, said, "Smart-V is a strategic platform that combines virtualization technology and next-generation cryptography, a solution that meets market demands for both expense efficiency and security reliability," adding, "C-Platform will establish itself as a competitive platform operator in Korea's virtualization market based on technology internalization."
