Laftel said on the 18th that it has introduced a structure that allows everything from watching content to purchasing products by unveiling the in-app goods commerce service "Store Home."
Laftel will add "Store Home" to the bottom tab of the app's main screen on the 23rd and launch the commerce service. After watching content, users can immediately purchase related goods within the app.
This service is designed to handle within the app the previous user flow that required moving to an external platform after watching content. Through this, content consumption and product purchases were consolidated into a single flow.
Store Home provides areas that recommend new and popular products, a search function, and dedicated home functions by intellectual property (IP).
Through this launch, Laftel plans to add commerce features to its subscription-based service and expand its revenue structure. A Laftel official said, "Store Home is a service that extends the content viewing experience," adding, "We will continue to provide related features."
To mark the launch, Laftel will run discount and first-come, first-served sales events for related goods including "Demon Slayer" and "Jujutsu Kaisen" starting Mar. 20.
