Harman's JBL brand, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, said on the 16th it will launch the JBL BandBox, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based amp and speaker.
JBL BandBox is an AI-based smart practice amp and a lineup of portable speakers designed for both beginners and seasoned musicians. By combining the freedom of portable audio with powerful features for musicians, it helps users practice, jam, and create anytime, anywhere.
At the core of JBL BandBox is Stem AI, which uses intelligent vocal and instrument separation technology to separate or remove vocals, guitar, and drums from any track on-device in real time.
JBL BandBox Solo and JBL BandBox Trio feature AI-based real-time vocal and instrument separation, rich signature JBL sound, built-in effects, and practice tools.
JBL BandBox Solo is designed for individual players who want to streamline their practice setup while maintaining sound quality and creative control.
JBL BandBox Solo comes with one guitar/microphone input, making it ideal for guitarists, singer-songwriters, home players, or anyone who wants to practice with minimal gear. You can stream your favorite songs and immediately use Stem AI to remove or reduce specific elements from a track. Remove the guitar part and play along with the original accompaniment to practice in a completely new way.
You can access more features through the JBL One app. Choose vintage or modern amp models to match the vibe. Use classic effects like phaser, chorus, and reverb without external pedals. Select factory presets or create custom presets to suit your style and craft a distinctive sound.
The built-in looper adds creativity to rhythmic layering and soloing, while the pitch shifter and tuner help keep your intonation and key accurate at all times.
While JBL BandBox Solo is optimized for personal use, JBL BandBox Trio builds on the same foundation to offer expanded features for group playing environments.
JBL BandBox Trio supports four instrument inputs, making it ideal for small bands, jam sessions, and duos. With the built-in four-channel mixer, you can adjust levels, set tone, and apply various effects directly from the speaker.
JBL BandBox Trio is equipped with a swappable battery, making it suitable for long playing sessions or rehearsals. Simply swap the battery pack to extend your session. Onboard controls let users intuitively adjust sound settings without opening the app.

The JBL BandBox lineup is available on Samsung.com and major online malls. The list price is 449,000 won for JBL BandBox Solo and 899,000 won for JBL BandBox Trio.
