Samsung Display labor and management reached a tentative agreement on this year's wage deal on the 14th. The average wage increase rate was conveyed as a total of 6.2%, including a base increase of 4.1% and a performance increase of 2.1%.
In addition, Samsung Display labor and management decided to push for measures including creating a new three-day leave every five years, introducing dwellings lend for those without homes, and reducing fixed OT (overtime) hours (14 hours → 12 hours).
Based on this tentative agreement, the Samsung Display labor union plans to hold a vote of union members for or against it. If a majority votes in favor and it passes, Samsung Display will conclude its wage agreement for the fifth consecutive year without disputes since 2022. Samsung Display labor and management began negotiations on this year's wage agreement in January.
