Lyu Jae-cheol, chief executive officer (CEO) of LG Electronics, received more than 2.6 billion won in compensation last year.
According to the 2025 annual business report disclosed by LG Electronics on the 13th, CEO Lyu received a total of 2.611 billion won last year, including 1.467 billion won in salary and 1.144 billion won in bonuses.
Lyu, who was head of the business division last year, received 364 million won more in bonuses than former CEO (president) Cho Joo-wan. LG Electronics said this was a result of recognizing outstanding business performance, with the H&A (now HS·ES) Business Division achieving 33.2033 trillion won in sales and 2.0446 trillion won in operating profit in 2024.
The highest annual pay last year went to former LG Science Park head Park Il-pyung. Park received a total of 2.907 billion won, including 2.08 billion won in severance pay. Former President Cho Joo-wan, who stepped down from the CEO post last year, received 2.388 billion won, including 1.608 billion won in salary and 780 million won in bonuses.
The average annual salary of one LG Electronics employee last year was 117 million won, exceeding 100 million won for the fourth straight year. This is the same figure as the previous year, which marked a record high. Last year, LG Electronics paid up to 510% as performance bonuses.
