Amazon Web Services (AWS) on the 13th announced the second cohort of corporations participating in the Physical AI Fellowship, which it jointly operates with MassRobotics and NVIDIA Inception. The Physical AI Fellowship is a virtual program that helps Robotics startups with high growth potential build, advance, and scale Physical AI solutions.

The second cohort includes nine startups active in agriculture, construction and renewable energy, industrial automation, retail and logistics, Robotics data infrastructure, teleoperation, and wearable and humanoid Robotics. The participating corporations are: Burro, Config, Deltia, Haply Robotics, Luminous Robotics, Roboto AI, Telexistence, Terra Robotics, and WIRobotics.

As industry demand to deploy intelligent machines in real-world environments grows, interest in Physical AI is rising quickly. AWS said the Physical AI Fellowship provides participating startups with deep technical guidance, cloud and computing resources, and access to the global Robotics ecosystem.

Tom Ryden, executive director at MassRobotics, said, "We will continue to support startups in scaling real-world Physical AI solutions by collaborating with industry leaders like AWS and NVIDIA," and added, "We look forward to showcasing the participating corporations at the Robotics Summit & Expo scheduled for May, and to connecting with the broader community during Boston Tech Week."

Fellow corporations will receive support from scientists and experts at the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center.

Jason Bennett, vice president for the AWS global startups institutional sector, said, "Physical AI is one of the most transformative opportunities in Robotics," and "startups are leading the way in bringing these intelligent systems out of the lab and into the market."

Howard Wright, vice president for NVIDIA's startup ecosystem institutional sector, said, "Startups are powerful catalysts for innovation. They boldly invest at the early stages of emerging technologies and turn bold ideas into scalable businesses," adding, "As Physical AI imbues machines, factories, and infrastructure with intelligence, these innovative corporations will help boost efficiency and productivity across the global economy."
