Nexon said on the 12th it began the global Closed Alpha Test for its new zombie survival title Paradise: LAST PARADISE (hereafter Paradise).
The test will run for five days until 5 p.m. on Mar. 16 Korea time, and players can join the PC version via the game platform Steam. The test targets users in parts of North America, East Asia and South America.
Players who joined the pre-alpha test can play immediately without a separate application, and tester applications will be accepted on the Steam store page during the test period. Selected users can share test access with up to three people via Steam's friend invite feature.
In this test, the Jongno North area has been newly added in addition to the existing Jongno South map. It also reflects changes in exploration conditions by applying four environmental settings: night, rain, dawn and early evening.
A Last Stand system has also been introduced, allowing players to attempt escape even after health reaches 0 until infection reaches its maximum. Combat and life content have been expanded, enabling the use of 35 active and passive skills such as Box Writing and Rope Dart, while more than 70 types of furniture can be placed in lodging spaces and more than 160 quests can be completed.
Nexon also released a cinematic video that captures the game's worldbuilding. The video contains a prologue story in which the player illegally enters Paradise through a broker. On the official community, a New Explorer Guide introducing equipment modification, skills and strategies for special infected has also been released.
