LG CNS is joining hands with U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) software company Palantir Technologies to accelerate its domestic artificial intelligence transformation (AX) business.
LG CNS said on the 11th (local time) that it signed a strategic partnership agreement with Palantir. Palantir has Foundry, which integrates and refines data dispersed within corporations to build a data-driven operating system, and AIP (AI Platform), which combines Generative AI with an integrated data environment to support corporations' decision-making in real time.
Under the partnership, LG CNS will provide Palantir's enterprise platforms, including Foundry and AIP, in forms optimized for each client. To that end, LG CNS will establish an FDE (Forward Deployed Engineering) team dedicated to Palantir. The FDE team will work closely with Palantir to identify and execute high value-added AX application projects across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, energy, electronics, and logistics.
In particular, the company plans to begin full-scale business expansion starting with LG Group, which is actively considering the adoption of Palantir's platforms.
LG CNS has already successfully completed a proof of concept (PoC) to apply Foundry and AIP to the quality control area of one LG affiliate, and based on this, recently signed a main project contract.
LG CNS has also completed verification of Foundry and AIP internally. By linking its own data platform and analytics capabilities with Foundry, it can analyze business and operations data in real time and has secured the ability to build a risk prediction and decision-support system using AIP. Based on execution experience accumulated through internal adoption, the company plans to explore strategies to activate expansion into external businesses.
Hyun Shin-Gyoon, president of LG CNS, said, "We will lead customers' AX innovation by combining LG CNS's industry expertise with Palantir's AI platform capabilities."
