Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han will also serve as CEO of Ludo Robotics, an artificial intelligence (AI) Robotics corporations recently established in the United States.
According to the game industry on the 11th, CEO Kim Chang-han was appointed CEO of Ludo Robotics, which Krafton recently set up in San Francisco.
Ludo Robotics is a company that Krafton established for physical AI and Robotics research, and it operates with a structure that places its parent company in the United States and its subsidiary in Korea. The company's slogan is "The Social Humanoid Brain Company," and it aims to develop the "brain" of Humanoid Robot that can interact with people.
Through its website, Ludo Robotics said, "Our goal is to advance physical AI research through cognition, learning, and manipulation, and to solve real-world challenges by combining robotics, physics, and computer science," adding, "We are dedicated to building a general-purpose robotic intelligence system that is robust, adaptable, and capable of handling real-world situations."
Lee Kang-uk, chief artificial intelligence officer (CAIO), who has led Krafton's AI Division, will serve as chief technology officer (CTO) at Ludo Robotics. Lee, the CAIO, is also head of the Korean branch, Ludo Robotics Korea, established on the 20th of last month.
Earlier, Krafton positioned AI and Robotics as future growth engines for the company. Krafton plans to expand into the physical AI and Robotics space based on the simulation technologies accumulated by implementing AI-based characters in its flagship intellectual properties (IP) such as PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and inZOI.
