Melon, the music platform of Kakao Entertainment, said on the 11th it will launch "STAGE 99," a free offline event for fans who have achieved an artist intimacy score of 99 degrees.
Melon's intimacy score is an index that converts how much a user likes a particular artist's music into a temperature from 0 to 99 degrees. It is calculated by combining on-platform activities such as streaming, downloads, likes, and votes.
"STAGE 99" is an event that invites only users who have achieved an intimacy score of 99 degrees with an artist. Wonpil was selected as the first artist. Wonpil is scheduled to hold a pre-listening party on the 27th at Hyundai Card Understage in Hannam-dong, Seoul, ahead of the release of his first solo mini album "Unpiltered."
You can apply for the event after achieving an intimacy score of 99 degrees with Wonpil through the "STAGE 99" content on Melon.
Melon will hold the event in collaboration with Hyundai Card Understage and plans to roll out various events at Vinyl & Plastic and Hyundai Card Music Library as well.
A Melon official said, "We planned this so that fandom formed through activity on the platform can lead to offline meetings," and added, "We will expand programs that connect artists and fans."
