KT Skylife will appoint Vice President Jo Il, head of corporate strategy, as the next CEO.
KT Skylife said on the 11th that its board of directors convened and announced the call for a regular shareholders meeting, including an agenda item to appoint Vice President Jo as an inside director. The shareholders meeting will be held on the 26th of this month.
Regarding Vice President Jo, head of corporate strategy, who was recommended as an inside director, the company said, "As a professional manager in the telecommunications and media sector, Jo has a high level of understanding of media platforms," and "through management innovation and vision-setting capabilities for sustainable growth, is expected to help enhance the value of corporations and shareholders."
Four people were recommended as new outside directors: Jang Kyung-hee, a professor at Inha University, Sim Mi-seon, a professor at Soonchunhyang University, Kang Shin-no, a nonexecutive director at NH Nonghyup Futures, and Cho Hyun-jang, former head of information security at NICE Information Service. KT Skylife explained that, considering job fit, it recommended outside directors who are experts in telecommunications, artificial intelligence (AI), public interest, finance, and security.
