Bos Semiconductor's artificial intelligence (AI) chip design capability has been named a "national strategic technology" selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Bos Semiconductor said on the 11th that, under Article 9 of the Special Act on the Promotion of National Strategic Technologies, its "high-performance, low-power AI Semiconductor design technology for future mobility" was selected as a "national strategic technology." The government designates and fosters technologies essential to national security and industrial competitiveness as national strategic technologies.
Bos Semiconductor unveiled earlier this year the Eagle-N, an AI accelerator chip applicable to Autonomous Driving and robotics. It is also developing the Eagle-A, a system-on-chip (SoC) for Autonomous Driving systems.
Chief Executive Park Jae-hong of Bos Semiconductor said, "By developing high-performance, low-power AI Semiconductor technology at a global level, we will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Korea's system semiconductors and advancing the future mobility industry."
