Samsung Electronics said on the 10th that it will take part in the world's largest game developer conference, GDC Festival of Gaming 2026, held in San Francisco from the 9th to the 13th (local time).
Launched in 1988, GDC is a global game industry event where more than 30,000 game developers and industry officials participate and over 1,000 speakers present. This year's event will feature more than 700 sessions.
Samsung Electronics will set up a separate exhibition space at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis during the event and unveil its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup.
Key products include the glasses-free 3D monitor "Odyssey 3D," the first 6K ultra-high-resolution 32-inch gaming monitor "Odyssey G8," and the "Odyssey G6," which supports up to 1040Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Electronics will also strengthen collaboration with game developers to expand 3D gaming experiences. Odyssey 3D will support the third-person action-adventure game "Hell is Us" in 3D mode within this month, and by the end of the year, it plans to add titles such as "Chronos: The New Dawn," increasing the number of 3D-supported games to more than 120.
Teaming up with global game studios, it will also expand the application of "HDR10+ Gaming," which delivers picture quality optimized for game content. The technology analyzes scenes and frames to automatically adjust brightness, color, and contrast, enhancing immersion.
The technology is currently supported in 14 games, including "Red Dead Redemption 2" and "Cyberpunk 2077," and on five development platforms, and it is set to be applied within this month to "Crimson Desert," an open-world action-adventure game developed by Pearl Abyss.
Lee Sang-uk, executive vice president of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, "Starting with GDC 2026, we will deliver a more immersive gaming experience to gamers around the world through more active collaboration with game content companies."
