NHN said on the 10th that it will hold the third Hangame Poker Tour (HPT) in the mobile poker game "Hangame Royal Hold'em."
HPT is a Texas Hold'em poker tournament held in two parts: an online satellite tournament competing in Hold'em skill within "Hangame Royal Hold'em" and an offline tournament hosted on-site. The host is Bithumb, and operations are handled by SOOP.
The online satellite tournament will run four times a day for a total of 57 days until Apr. 30 in "Hangame Royal Hold'em." Any "Hangame Royal Hold'em" user can participate in the online satellite tournament without a separate application process, and can compete for 15 offline tournament entry tickets allocated per tournament.
The offline tournament will be held for three days from May 1 to 3 at the Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. In the final match on day three, users will compete in earnest for Bitcoin (BTC) worth a total of 10 billion won and a championship trophy.
Choi Young-du, head of NHN's mobile web board business group, said, "For the third HPT, we have prepared so that even more Hold'em players can feel the fun and tension of the challenge based on the experience we've accumulated running the tournament, so we ask for your interest."
