LG Electronics is expanding its business-to-business (B2B) footprint by increasing supply of apartment-tailored artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
LG Electronics said on the 10th that the number of units equipped with ThinQ On, supplied to POSCO E&C's residential brand The Sharp, has surpassed 10,000. ThinQ On is a solution with Generative AI that converses with customers in everyday language, understands context, and learns and predicts living patterns. It can control not only LG Electronics appliances but also a range of Internet of Things (IoT) devices by voice as if in conversation. For example, if you say, "Turn off the air conditioner and start the robot vacuum. And turn on the dehumidifier in an hour," the relevant devices carry out the commands.
The number of units using the apartment-specialized feature Our complex consolidation service, offered through the LG Electronics AI home platform ThinQ app, also surpassed 300,000 units in the first quarter of this year. The feature supports: ▲ elevator call ▲ parking location check ▲ lighting, heating, ventilation, outlet, and gas valve control ▲ visitor history check ▲ community facility reservations. When used together with ThinQ On, residents can conveniently control a variety of on-premise convenience features by voice without operating the app. LG Electronics said, "We have the capability to provide both built-in appliances and AI home solutions requested by construction companies."
To target the global B2B market, LG Electronics has also introduced AI home solutions tailored to overseas residential environments. It unveiled LG ThinQ Pro, a solution that integrates management of in-home appliances and HVAC systems, at KBIS 2026, North America's largest kitchen and bath show. ThinQ Pro enables building managers to monitor appliances and HVAC systems across the complex in real time via a dedicated dashboard. Residents can detect early signs of product anomalies and remotely request after-sales service (AS).
Noh Beom-jun, head of HS AI Home Solutions Business Development at LG Electronics, said, "We will accelerate our push into the B2B market and deliver optimal spatial experiences with an integrated solution that combines LG Electronics' unmatched appliance technologies with the AI home platform ThinQ and the hub ThinQ On."
