NHN said on the 9th that its rebranding project won a main award at Germany's "iF Design Award 2026."
With this, NHN has now won all three of the world's top design awards, adding this year's iF Design Award to last year's main award at Germany's "Red Dot Design Award 2025" and the silver award at the United States' "IDEA 2025."
The iF Design Award, organized by iF International Forum Design, is an international design awards program that began in 1954 and is regarded as one of the world's top three design awards along with Germany's Red Dot Design Award and the United States' IDEA Design Award.
At this year's awards, the NHN rebranding project received high marks across evaluation categories including idea, form, function, distinctiveness, and sustainability among more than 10,000 entries submitted from 68 countries.
In Aug. 2024, NHN carried out its first large-scale rebranding since the group's launch and presented "Weaving New Play (a new tomorrow made by our connections)" as its brand philosophy. It integrated the direction of connecting business areas such as games, payments, and technology into a single identity within a visual system.
The new corporate identity (CI) emphasizes simplicity and scalability based on achromatic tones, and systematizes the logo, color system, and visual architecture to build a brand framework usable in global markets.
An NHN official said, "We met the judging criteria of each awards program and earned recognition for our design competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to deliver consistent brand value."
