Samsung said on the 9th that it will begin its first-half open recruitment process on the 10th to secure top talent.
The affiliates joining the open recruitment are 18 companies, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Securities, Samsung Asset Management, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung E&A, Cheil Worldwide, S-1, and Samsung Global Research.
The hiring process will proceed in order with a job-fit evaluation in March, the Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT) in April, interviews in May, and a health checkup, and open recruitment applicants can submit applications to the company they wish to join on Samsung Careers, the Samsung recruitment website, from the 10th to the 17th. Applicants for software (SW) positions will take a hands-on SW competency test instead of the GSAT, and applicants for design positions will also not take the GSAT and will be selected through a review of their design portfolios.
Samsung will hire 60,000 people over five years to foster future growth businesses and create jobs for young people. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong attended a meeting between economic groups and corporations at the presidential office on Aug. 19 last year and promised, "We will continue related investments so that we can continuously create quality jobs in Korea and nurture high value-added industries."
