OpenAI said on the 3rd that it will hold the finals of an "AI hackathon" in Seoul on the 7th with developer-creator Jocoder, who has 720,000 subscribers, and startup accelerator Primer.
The preliminary round, held from Feb. 7 to 20, drew 3,295 participants, and 30 teams selected through judging (15 individuals and 15 teams) will advance to the finals to present their final results. The event will combine online pre-training with an offline final.
The program focused on implementing real services and products using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Participants will use the OpenAI application programming interface (API) and the coding agent "Codex (GPT-5.3-Codex)" or Codex applications to develop web services and applications.
Ahead of the event, Jocoder ran an online training program for about five weeks to guide the planning and development process of AI services. All preliminary participants will receive $100 worth of OpenAI API credits per person, and the grand prize winner will receive $15,000 worth of OpenAI credits and a one-year ChatGPT Pro subscription.
The hackathon is designed so developers and aspiring founders can experience the entire process from ideation to implementation and service launch. Participants will improve the completeness of their projects through on-site mentoring and collaboration and verify real commercialization potential.
