Artificial intelligence (AI) startup Ttitera (CEO Kim Deok-woo) unveiled an "AI call agent" that handles restaurant reservation calls on behalf of users, it said on the 2nd.
The AI call agent calls restaurants to make reservations at the user's request or answers incoming calls on behalf of the restaurant owner to take reservations, following the owner's instructions.
It supports 15 languages and is accessible on mobile. If a Korean user requests a reservation at a Japanese restaurant in Korean, the AI call agent makes the call in Japanese. The AI call agent's features can be tried on the demo webpage (call.nowteeg.ai).
The company added that it applied a "probability-based conversational context retention technology" to keep the call flow consistent and handle reservations with accuracy comparable to real-world operations.
Kim Deok-woo, CEO of Ttitera, said, "We expect the AI call agent to be highly useful for small-business owners and the self-employed," adding, "We plan to develop various 'AI staff' agents and evolve them into an AI personal assistant service."
