Nvidia posted a record high for revenue in the fiscal year fourth quarter (November last year to January this year).
Nvidia said on the 25th (local time) that fourth-quarter revenue, which ended Jan. 25, came to $68.1 billion (about 97.2127 trillion won). That was up 73% from a year earlier. Compared with the prior quarter, it rose 20%. It was a surprise beat over the projection compiled by research firm LSEG ($66.2 billion).
Annual revenue was $215.9 billion (about 308.1972 trillion won), up 65% from a year earlier, marking a record high. Fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share (EPS) were $1.62, up 82% from a year earlier. Full-year adjusted EPS was $4.77.
Operating profit in the fiscal year fourth quarter was $44.3 billion (about 63.2382 trillion won). That was up 84% from a year earlier. As a result, the operating margin for the period was tallied at 65%.
Nvidia's fiscal year fourth-quarter data center revenue was $62.3 billion (about 88.9332 trillion won), up 75% from a year earlier. Gaming revenue was $3.7 billion, professional graphics revenue was $1.3 billion, and automotive and embedded came in at $600 million, respectively.
Nvidia guided first-quarter revenue for fiscal 2027 (February to April this year) at $78.0 billion (±2%, about 111.3450 trillion won). It plans to pay a cash dividend of $0.01 per share on Apr. 1 to all shareholders of record as of Mar. 11.
Jensen Huang, Nvidia chief executive officer (CEO), said, "Demand for computing is increasing exponentially, and the inflection point for agent-based artificial intelligence (AI) has arrived," and added, "As corporations rapidly adopt agent-based AI, they are entering a competitive race to invest in computing, and this is a key driver of the AI industrial revolution and future growth." He went on to say, "Grace Blackwell (Nvidia graphics processing unit) is the current leader in inference, unveiling innovative technology that dramatically lowers the expense per token, and Vera Rubin (next-generation graphics processing unit) will further strengthen this leadership."
