SK hynix said on the 26th that it was selected as an excellent corporation for 2025 in the "win-win cooperation project for safety and health between large and small corporations," organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA).
Both the Icheon and Cheongju business sites were named as excellent corporations, achieving the distinction for three consecutive years since 2023, the first year of the program. This year's evaluation was conducted through a rigorous review in which only corporations in the top 10% among 233 participating parent corporations (prime contractors) were selected.
In particular, the Cheongju business site was designated as a "voluntary compliance business site" for winning three years in a row, officially recognizing its capabilities in managing safety and health at partner companies.
SK hynix has continued effectiveness-focused support—centered on a "win-win cooperation consortium"—including coaching-style consulting, risk assessment training, and on-site improvement activities, to address the lack of safety and health know-how at small and medium-sized partner companies and the limits of applying it in the field.
In 2019, it also established the Work Environment and Health Center, a public-interest foundation approved by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), expanding the scope of safety and health support to not only partner companies but also local small and medium-sized corporations.
An SK hynix official said, "Strengthening partners' safety and health capabilities is key to supply chain stability and sustainable safety management," adding, "We will continue to advance differentiated support models tailored to industry and size."
