Samsung Electronics on the 25th (local time) unveiled its new wireless earbuds, Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4, at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in San Francisco. Samsung Electronics said it raised both the ergonomic design and sound and noise-canceling technologies to pursue "unparalleled sound quality" and long-wear comfort at the same time.
The Buds 4 series designed a slim-fit wearing structure based on more than 100 million ear data points and over 10,000 wearing simulations worldwide. The company said it reduced pressure during long use compared with the previous model while minimizing slippage in situations with heavy movement, such as exercise. For the exterior, a "metal blade" design with an engraved finish provides a pinch control area that lets users adjust volume and media with their fingers, and the cradle's translucent cover makes it intuitive to check whether the buds are docked.
Sound is reinforced around the Pro model. Galaxy Buds 4 Pro introduces, for the first time, a bezel-less woofer that enlarges the speaker's vibrating surface and trims the edges, expanding the effective area by about 20%. A 2-way speaker combined with a tweeter for high frequencies also supports ultra-high-resolution audio at 24-bit/96 kHz.
Personalization centers on adaptive EQ and ANC. The Pro model features enhanced adaptive ANC that analyzes the wearing condition in real time and optimizes noise blocking. Adaptive EQ works in tandem with ANC to tune the tone to the ear shape and fit, widening the correction band for greater detail. The standard model supports ambient sound so users can hear external sounds without removing the earbuds. Call quality is reinforced with "Super Clear Call." The company said a Machine Learning model analyzes voice patterns and ambient noise to reduce noise and implements a 16 kHz voice bandwidth for greater clarity.
The connection experience focuses on integration with the Galaxy ecosystem. Opening the charging case supports automatic connection, and control is available in phone settings and the quick panel. In particular, Samsung Electronics said that on Galaxy phones, simply opening the case enables instant pairing even without installing the Galaxy Wearable app.
During calls, it secures a 16 kHz voice bandwidth—up to twice that of conventional Bluetooth calls—to deliver clearer voices. It also offers voice activation for AI agents such as Bixby, Google Gemini, and Perplexity while wearing the Buds. The new "head gesture" feature enables accepting or rejecting calls and some controls by nodding or shaking the head.
The products come as the canal-type Buds 4 Pro and the open-type Buds 4. Colors are white and black, with pink gold added as a Samsung.com exclusive for the Pro model. Preorders start at midnight on the 27th, and the official domestic release is Mar. 11. Customers who preorder can receive theirs from Mar. 5. Prices are 359,000 won for Buds 4 Pro and 259,000 won for Buds 4.
Cho Ik-hyeon, a senior vice president in the MX Development Office at Samsung Electronics, said, "We aim for an audio experience that blends naturally into everyday life."
