Blomix said on the 26th that it signed a contract for the domestic joint service of the mobile MMORPGs "Eos Red" and "Eos Black," which are developed and serviced by Blue Potion Games.
The contract is a strategic partnership that combines Blomix's capabilities in game service and marketing operations with Blue Potion Games' content development competitiveness. The two companies plan to use a joint service system to provide a stable game environment and strengthen service competitiveness.
Eos Red, which began domestic service in 2019 based on the Eos IP, ranked No. 2 in revenue on the Google Play store in Korea and the Google and Apple app markets in Taiwan after its launch. To date, it has posted cumulative revenue of 150 billion won and 2 million members, sustaining a long-running hit.
Eos Black is a classic MMORPG that features a structure with reduced monetization burden, a shame system, siege warfare, and other PK (player kill)-focused content. It is a title that continues to show steady revenue growth in the domestic market.
Lee Su-ho, head of Blomix's game business division, said, "We will combine the strengths of both companies to advance game competitiveness and lay the foundation for long-term growth," adding, "We will also continue to seek various collaboration opportunities using the Eos IP."
Jeong Jae-mok, CEO of Blue Potion Games, said, "We have partnered with a company that can expand the value of the Eos IP," adding, "We will continue the growth of the two titles in a more stable service environment."
With this contract, Blomix has expanded its service lineup into the MMORPG genre to include Eos Red and Eos Black, following Tales Runner and Fortress 3 Blue.
