TikTok said on the 25th that it is partnering with the Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) to launch a program to foster live agencies that plan and operate music-centered TikTok Live content. The goal is to help startups in the music and entertainment sector produce high-quality live and short-form content based on systematic creator (artist) management.
The program runs twice a year (first and second half). Companies that complete it will be able to sign formal contracts with TikTok and operate as TikTok Live partner agencies. It will partner with 25 startups each in the first and second half, for a total of 50 startup agencies annually.
The first-half course runs from this month through June. From the 27th to Apr. 15, it will recruit participating corporations, select 25 participating corporations, and release the results in March. From Mar. 26, it will offer 16 hours of training over four weeks, once a week for four hours, followed by 12 weeks of hands-on content planning and production using a studio.
Eligible participants are startups (corporations or sole proprietors) with relevant experience in entertainment, music, and artist management. Content companies seeking to expand the music live activities of their affiliated creators or artists through TikTok Live may apply, and the representative must attend the full schedule of the four-week training period.
The curriculum covers TikTok Live's business structure and monetization methods, agency onboarding procedures, how to review operational data, creator and viewer management, use of customer support channels, and planning for music live content formats and events.
Jensen Ryu, head of TikTok Live Korea, said, "The excellent production infrastructure and on-site expertise held by the Korea Radio Promotion Association will be a strong boost in elevating the domestic music live ecosystem," adding, "Through this partnership, we will expand the pool of agencies with operational capabilities and steadily build practical operational cases to create a healthy ecosystem where creators and agencies grow together."
