Okestro said on the 24th that it won POSCO's "server virtualization solution adoption" project.
Okestro plans to migrate some of the virtualization-based systems currently operated by POSCO to the CONTRABASS environment by applying the server virtualization solution "CONTRABASS," and to build a new server virtualization environment.
Okestro said it has demonstrated the operational stability required in large-scale enterprise environments through various competitor performance verifications (BMT) and customer-tailored proof-of-concept verifications (PoC) carried out for major domestic manufacturers. As of last year, CONTRABASS exceeded 10 billion won in win-back sales (replacing other companies' products with its own), and this year it has been winning large-scale transition projects in succession.
Chief Executive Kim Beom-jae of Okestro said, "This contract is a case that shows our technical capability to carry out virtualization transitions stably even in large-scale manufacturing environments," adding, "Based on the proven stability and operational reliability in mission-critical environments, we will convert the foreign-centered virtualization environment to domestic technology."
