Samsung Electronics said on the 22nd that it will supply Dacor, a luxury built-in kitchen appliance brand, to every dwelling in Aripeka, a high-end housing community in Viera, Florida.
Viera, near Orlando, sits on the Space Coast, known as a hub of the aerospace industry, and is characterized by its upscale residential environment. Aripeka is a single-family housing community of 260 dwellings being built in collaboration with four high-end custom builders—Lifestyle Home Builders, Joyel Homes, CDS Builder, and Stanley Homes—with completion targeted for next year.
The Dacor built-in appliances being supplied this time were said to have been recognized by the four builders not only for performance and design, but also for the consolidation experience of product use and energy management through Samsung Electronics' SmartThings.
The Dacor appliances to be installed in the Aripeka community total six types, including 1-door column refrigerators and freezers, full-column wine cellars, dishwashers, 48-inch dual steam ranges, and pro canopy wall hoods.
Samsung Electronics is actively supplying business-to-business (B2B) appliances such as Dacor to the U.S. market and focusing on expanding B2B offerings to major builders. It also plans to supply Dacor appliances to single-family dwellings provided by trusted local builders Park Square Homes and Jones Homes in the Florida region.
Lee Sang-jik, vice president of the DA Division at Samsung Electronics, said, "Supplying Dacor to Aripeka is the result of Samsung's technological prowess and brand credibility being recognized in the North American market," adding, "We will actively target the North American B2B market with the Dacor lineup, which combines sophisticated design, excellent performance, and connectivity through SmartThings."
