SK Telecom said on the 22nd that at MWC26, the world's largest mobile expo to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from Mar. 2–5, it will showcase its "full-stack AI" competitiveness spanning AI infrastructure, models, and services.
SKT will set up a 992-square-meter booth at the center of Hall 3 in the MWC26 venue, Fira Gran Via. Under the theme "SKT's AI that creates infinite possibilities," SKT and its partners will highlight "AI technology advanced by telecommunications" and "telecommunications technology evolving through AI."
The company will exhibit AI infrastructure, including SKT's AI data center know-how and the evolution of its network and marketing.
It will also conduct an on-site demo of "A.X K1," the nation's first ultra-large AI model with 519B (51.9 billion) parameters, which advanced to phase two of the government's "independent AI foundation model project."
It will also seek collaboration with overseas telecom operators, AI DC providers, and startups. It will promote support for Korean startups.
Jung Jai-hun, SKT CEO, said, "This MWC26 is an opportunity to show the world how SKT is actually implementing AI infrastructure, models, and services based on telecommunications," adding, "Through our 'full-stack AI' competitiveness, we will elevate SKT's role in the global AI ecosystem to the next level."
