KT will push into the global market with artificial intelligence (AI) and infrastructure innovation technologies at the world's largest mobile communications trade show, "MWC 2026."
KT said on the 22nd that it will take part in MWC 2026, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from Feb. 2 to 5, and showcase Korea's AI technology and telecommunications infrastructure capabilities.
KT set up an exhibition hall in Hall 4, the main venue of MWC, inspired by Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. At the entrance, a video introduces the flow of domestic industrial innovation centered on Gwanghwamun, while inside, symbolic spaces such as the statue of King Sejong, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and the KT Gwanghwamun Building are recreated.
In the AX zone, the core area of the exhibition, AI transformation (AX) technologies that can be applied to corporate environments will be unveiled. KT will present the enterprise AI operating system "Agentic Fabric," designed to have corporations perform tasks by consolidation of various AI technologies and agents.
On-site, visitors can try "Agent Builder," which creates industry-specific, work-focused AI agents in template form for immediate deployment. Also on display are AI proof-of-concept cases such as the AI agent collaboration-based contact center solution "Agentic AICC" and the missing-person search system "Vision Track," which uses video analysis technology.
In the K-Square zone, booths of partner small and venture companies to strengthen win-win cooperation will be joined by BC Card, kt sports, and kt Millie's library and other group affiliates to introduce each company's key services. An AR dance program with K-pop idol "Cortiz" and an "AI hanbok experience" that lets visitors virtually wear hanbok against a Gwanghwamun backdrop will also be offered.
In addition, the exhibition includes an archive zone highlighting the footsteps of Korea's telecommunications, a sports zone where "AI Lee Kang-in" delivers cheering messages in seven languages, and an F&B zone where visitors can try smart ordering and payment services based on Hi-Order, creating a showcase that combines technology and culture.
Yoon Tae-sik, KT's head of brand strategy (executive director), said, "In a space with the most Korean concept, inspired by Gwanghwamun Square, we will present a unique brand experience that combines AI technology and K-culture to visitors from around the world," adding, "We will continue to discover special branding programs that connect KT's innovative technologies and culture."
