NCSOFT said on the 20th that the time survival shooter Time Takers (developer Mistil Games Co., Ltd.) will hold its first closed beta test (CBT).
NCSOFT shared the CBT schedule through a new video released on Feb. 20. The CBT will run from Mar. 13 to Mar. 21, local time, in eight North and South American countries (the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Peru). The first CBT regions were selected in consideration of the shooter genre's influence and market share in North and South America.
Users can join the CBT through Steam, the global PC game distribution platform. It will operate eight hours a day for smooth matchmaking. If users receive a CBT key from the official Time Takers Discord channel, they can participate from outside North and South America as well. NCSOFT plans to use this test to review global operations and server stability and to reflect user feedback in development.
Test participants will play Trio Mode, which consists of teams of three. They can check out maps and a universe with various concepts—Mirae-si, Yokogawa, and Morstatt—and the main story, and they can try 12 travelers (characters) and 10 primary weapons.
Time Takers is a new time survival shooter that features rules using Time Energy as a resource, characters with distinct narratives and unique skills, and a play style built through combinations of Passive Apps that grant various weapons and persistent effects.
