5minlab, a game studio under Krafton, said on the 19th that it began pre-registration for its new mobile game "Overgeared Hero."
Overgeared Hero is a bag-based collectible strategy roguelike game in which battle outcomes change depending on how well items are collected and arranged. Players select, merge, and place items that appear at random each round to complete their own combat builds.
The game's core system is based on the concept of "bag = combat power." Combat style and efficiency vary depending on how items of different grades, sizes, and shapes are arranged in the bag, and strategic decisions that design synergies between items play an important role. Battles proceed automatically after items are arranged, and the average playtime per round is designed to be around 5 minutes.
Overgeared Hero will launch first in Korea and Taiwan in April, followed by the United States and Japan in May. Pre-registration is available in all countries through Google Play Store and Apple App Store. 5minlab will run pre-registration for Overgeared Hero until launch.
