Soomgo said on the 19th that the number of registered pros and the total number of registrations have surged since it introduced a portfolio feature using artificial intelligence (AI).
According to Soomgo, since the introduction of the "AI portfolio feature," unveiled in Nov. last year, the number of pros registering portfolios rose 63.7% from before the launch, and the total number of registrations increased 47.8%.
Portfolios are cited as a key factor that can boost a pro's hire rate by up to 13 times, but many found it hard to use due to the burden of writing long text and organizing photos. To address this, Soomgo applied AI trained on high-quality portfolio data to add a feature that creates a portfolio in about 30 seconds with only photos and minimal information entered.
The AI rollout not only increased registrations but also improved content completeness. By structuring and presenting the work environment, the process, and the results, the average character count per portfolio increased more than tenfold from before the launch. As a result, the number of customers browsing portfolios and their time on page also rose. In a survey conducted one month after the launch, 85% of pros who used the feature said they were satisfied in terms of shorter writing time and better marketing efficiency.
Soomgo plans to add a "browse" page this month. Browse is a curation page where users can see outstanding portfolios by service—such as interior, wedding, and lessons—across some 1,000 categories at a glance. Customers can compare cases by region, type, and purpose, while pros can showcase their expertise more effectively.
Ha Hee-jin, Soomgo chief product officer (CPO), said, "AI portfolios are partners that help pros reduce their marketing burden and focus on service quality," and added, "Through features like the browse page, we will continue to advance related technology so that pros' expertise is revealed more effectively as a business asset and customers can easily find trustworthy information."
