Gravity said it officially launched the new turn-based role-playing game (RPG) WiZmans World Re;Try in global regions on the 19th.
WiZmans World Re;Try is an HD remaster of the JRPG WiZmans World released in 2009 by Japanese game developer JALECO. The original drew attention for its pixel art graphics and challenging difficulty, and this remaster improves the graphics and adds new background music (BGM) and arrangements. The user interface (UI) and gameplay were also optimized to enhance completeness while preserving the authenticity of the original.
The game tells the story of a wizard surrounding the truth of a dungeon and citizens who have lost their memories in a city cut off from the outside world. Players can challenge a dungeon that has found no exit for 100 years and battle monsters, and can raise homunculi that inherit monsters' abilities and skills through Anima Fusion to form a party. In the turn-based battles, chain attacks and elemental affinities are key factors, and strategic judgment that considers the relationships among water, fire, wind, and earth and the timeline is important.
Gravity has unveiled the title at domestic and overseas game events including G-STAR, PlayX4, TOKYO GAME SHOW, PAX EAST and PAX WEST in North America, and the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan.
WiZmans World Re;Try is available for purchase as a download on Steam, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, and Xbox One platforms, with a sale price of 32,000 won. It supports Korean, English, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. To mark the official launch, Steam is running a 10% discount event through March 5.
Park Jin-on, Head of Team at Gravity, said, "WiZmans World Re;Try is an HD remaster that preserves the sentiment and core fun of the original while improving graphics, sound, and the overall user interface (UI)," and added, "We expect it will deliver a high-quality turn-based role-playing game (RPG) experience to both longtime fans and new players."
