Kolon Benit said on the 19th that it completed a project to migrate Daesang Group's human capital management (HCM) system to the latest SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition (PCE) environment.
The project, carried out over about six months, separated and upgraded the existing on-premises (in-house) SAP HR system to a cloud-based PCE environment. Kolon Benit built a framework that selectively migrates only the necessary HR data and verifies it automatically. Through this, it organized unnecessary legacy data, established an optimized data structure, and strengthened the security of HR and payroll data containing personal information.
Kolon Benit said Daesang Group secured continuity in HR operations through the migration and can expect tangible effects such as reducing system management expense and improving processing speed. The newly built HCM system implemented core functions—organizational management, HR management, payroll management, and time and attendance management—in line with the SAP PCE standard environment, and integration with major business systems such as groupware and the year-end tax settlement system was achieved stably. In addition, the application of single sign-on (SSO) and the transition to cloud-based infrastructure further improved security and scalability.
Jung Ju-young, an executive director at Kolon Benit, said, "The most important factor in an SAP migration project is data migration quality," adding, "We will continue to actively support the stable transition of domestic corporations to SAP PCE based on selective data migration technology."
