SK hynix unveiled a new hiring strategy called "Talent hy-way" on the 13th. The aim is to secure talent across all areas, including global, regional, and artificial intelligence (AI), to strengthen future competitiveness.
Regarding the new hiring strategy, the company said, "It reflects our determination not to miss the 'golden time' to secure outstanding talent," and "We plan to build a unique hiring brand and establish a 'talent expressway' that can quickly connect to top talent worldwide."
SK hynix will renew its existing experienced-hire brand, "Monthly hynix Talent," and expand from an experienced-focused structure to a rolling hiring system that covers entry-level and experienced employees alike. The company said it will "revamp operations so that qualified candidates can apply without limits on timing or channel." It also plans to redesign the hiring website so applicants can check job information, recruitment stages, and hiring news.
To secure overseas talent, SK hynix will sequentially run ▲ "Campus Recruiting" at major universities in the United States and Japan ▲ a "Global Internship" for overseas candidates ▲ a "Global Forum" for technology exchanges with research personnel in the Americas. After March, it will introduce English job descriptions (Job Description) for all postings to improve accessibility for overseas applicants.
To secure nationwide talent, starting in March the company will run the "Talent hy-way nationwide tour," focusing on regional universities. New content programs will include one-on-one, hands-on consulting and the "AI Dream Bus," which offers an indirect experience of semiconductor production facilities. In the second half of the year, it plans to hold "Tech Day" events at regional hubs to expand technology exchanges between current employees and students. It will also strengthen industry-academia cooperation with key universities across the country to support talent development.
Since the second half of last year, SK hynix has been operating "A!SK," an AI video interview process. It was introduced to provide candidates an opportunity to showcase logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as passion and potential, which are hard to convey through a self-introduction alone.
An SK hynix hiring official said, "Through Talent hy-way, we hope talent around the world can pick up speed and fully realize their potential," adding, "Through hiring innovation combined with AI technology, we will discover future talent beyond regional and national borders and nurture them into the company's core competitiveness."
