Preorders for Samsung Electronics' second-generation robot vacuum, "Bespoke AI Steam," surpassed 1,000 units in a single day.
According to the industry on the 13th, preorders for Samsung Electronics' 2026 robot vacuum, "Bespoke AI Steam," which began on the 11th, are proceeding twice as fast as the previous model.
The 2026 "Bespoke AI Steam" comes in Ultra, Plus, and standard models. Ultra and Plus will officially launch on Mar. 3, and the standard model will be available for purchase starting in April. Customers who purchase through preorders running until the 2nd of next month at Samsung Stores nationwide, Samsung.com, and Naver online stores will receive an accessory kit worth 120,000 won, consisting of dust bags, reusable pads, a brush kit, and a motor filter.
Suction power is up to 10 watts (W), twice that of the previous model. Artificial intelligence (AI) recognizes liquids and can automatically perform spill cleanup. It also features "Easy Pass Wheels," which can clear 45-mm thresholds.
It also comes with the security solutions "Knox Matrix" and "Knox Vault." Devices connected via SmartThings monitor each other's security status and detect and block threats. Personal information such as passwords, verification codes, and encryption keys is stored separately in a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for protection. In addition, images and video data captured by the robot vacuum are encrypted on-device, and an end-to-end encryption (E2EE) technology is applied to prevent information leakage even if the server is attacked or a user account is hijacked.
Bespoke AI Steam earned the highest "Diamond" grade in the Internet of Things (IoT) security safety evaluation conducted by the global certification company "UL Solutions." It also obtained the highest "Standard Plus" level in the IoT security certification conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA.
The station includes a function that sterilizes 99.999% of bacteria on the mop surface using 100°C steam. It also automatically removes dust and contaminants from the mop cleaning plate.
Lim Sung-taek, executive vice president and head of Korea at Samsung Electronics, said at the unveiling event for the 2026 "Bespoke AI Steam," "While strengthening functions that a robot vacuum must have, such as suction power and hygiene, this is a K-robot vacuum that fundamentally addresses customer concerns with strong security," adding, "We will secure market leadership with Samsung Electronics' unique peace-of-mind service you can trust."
