Kakao hits 8 million users for ChatGPT-based service in three months

Kakao CEO Chung Shin-a said on the morning of the 12th during a conference call on last year's fourth-quarter earnings that the number of users of "ChatGPT for Kakao" reached 8 million.

ChatGPT for Kakao is a service based on OpenAI. It allows users to share ChatGPT's answers in chat rooms and also supports asking ChatGPT questions directly during conversations. When ChatGPT for Kakao was launched in late October last year, its user base was reported at 2 million. In just over three months since launch, the number of users has increased fourfold.
