HANCOM said on the 12th that its AI agent service "Hancom Assistant" became the first among domestic AI solutions to obtain the "AX (AI Transformation) usability certification" from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).

Hancom Assistant is an AI agent service that understands users' natural-language commands to automatically perform tasks such as document drafting, summarizing, proofreading, and analysis. When users make requests in everyday sentences, the AI grasps the context and handles the related work.

Starting this year, HANCOM will pursue a "micro agent" strategy centered on Hancom Assistant that breaks down functions by workflow. A micro agent is a small AI module specialized for specific roles or tasks, characterized by supporting instant work automation without separate complex settings.

The AX usability certification is an evaluation framework established by TTA based on the international standard ISO/IEC 25023 and reflecting global big tech AI guidelines. Hancom Assistant passed evaluations on 20 detailed items, including learnability, operational convenience, and error responsiveness.

The company said the certification secures a foundation to respond to an AI market shift from technology-centered competition to user-experience-centered competition. It plans to expand the supply of its micro agent lineup to the public sector and corporations.

Chief Executive Kim Yeon-su of HANCOM said, "The AX usability certification is an indicator of how highly applicable HANCOM's AI technology is in real work environments," adding, "We will take the lead by applying micro agents by role through internal AI transformation and expand the distribution of the validated solution to the market."
