Global cloud-based cybersecurity corporations CrowdStrike said on the 12th that it appointed Managing Director Jonathan Dixon as the new vice president for Asia-Pacific and Japan (JAPAC).
Vice President Dixon, with more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and information technology (IT), is set to accelerate adoption of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and lead artificial intelligence (AI)-based cybersecurity innovation across Asia-Pacific and Japan. Until recently, Dixon served as vice president for Japan and Asia-Pacific and managing director at Verkada, where he led go-to-market and operations teams and was credited with strengthening Verkada's market position in the region. Before joining Verkada, he served as vice president for Asia-Pacific, Japan, and China and managing director at Cloudflare. He also worked at global corporations including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco, and IBM.
Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike, said, "Vice President Dixon is a rare leader who combines regional insight with experience in business expansion and will play a key role in the continued growth of Asia-Pacific and Japan," adding, "As organizations modernize security in the AI era, the Asia-Pacific region is a pivotal growth stage."
