NHN announced its fourth-quarter and annual results for 2025 on the 12th.
On a consolidation basis, fourth-quarter revenue was 685.7 billion won, up 6.5% from a year earlier. Operating profit was 55.1 billion won, up 120.5% year over year, marking record quarterly revenue and operating profit at the same time.
Annual revenue was 2.5163 trillion won, up 2.5% from the previous year. Operating profit turned to a profit at 132.4 billion won, achieving the highest annual performance. The company said the effects of business structure streamlining and fundamental improvements were fully reflected.
By institutional sector, fourth-quarter game revenue was 126.1 billion won, up 6.0% from a year earlier. The effects of the offline tournament for "Hangame Royal Hold'em" and collaboration with Japan's "#Compass" were reflected. The payments institutional sector rose 16.2% to 345.6 billion won. Expansion of NHN KCP overseas merchant transaction volume and growth in the Payco corporations welfare solution drove results.
Revenue in the technology institutional sector rose 17.4% to 139.1 billion won. NHN Cloud's fourth-quarter revenue increased 30.7% from a year earlier and 37.6% from the previous quarter, turning a quarterly profit for the first time. GPU services at the Gwangju National AI Data Center and the public-sector cloud migration project contributed to growth.
NHN plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its core businesses—games, payments, and technology—in 2026 to sustain growth. Following changes in web board game regulations, initial indicators have improved, and the company plans to maintain a responsible operating stance. It will also accelerate expansion of its stablecoin-based payment infrastructure and GPU-centered cloud business.
NHN CEO Jeong Woo-jin said, "2026 will be a year when the results of our core businesses are reflected more clearly in our performance, going beyond a recovery in profitability."
