Samsung SDS said on the 11th that it took part in the global logistics innovation conference "Manifest 2026," held in Las Vegas from the 9th to the 11th of this month, and showcased its capabilities in digital logistics.
The "Manifest conference" is an event where corporations and technology leaders representing the global supply chain and logistics industries gather to discuss future technologies and industry trends. This year, more than 7,200 people, including cargo owners, logistics solution and service providers, startups, and investors, attended.
During the event, Samsung SDS held business meetings and networking with global cargo owners and partners through session presentations and an exhibition booth.
At the exhibition booth, the company introduced IT-based logistics services covering everything from international transport by sea and air to inland transport and local logistics, including warehouses, with "Cello Square," a digital logistics service platform that can handle everything on one platform from quotation and booking to settlement.
In the session presentations, the company introduced the challenges corporations face amid the rapidly changing global supply chain environment, Samsung SDS's core strengths, risk management in international ocean transport, and a data-based global transport control tower. Together with Kyocera, it presented case studies of warehouse and local transport innovation in Europe that drew attendees' interest.
At the event, Samsung SDS noted that "many cargo owners and forwarders are experiencing a lack of visibility and transparency in the transport process due to issues such as geopolitical risks, climate change, and constraints on maritime infrastructure and operations." To address this, Samsung SDS said it provides real-time end-to-end logistics monitoring through Cello Square and offers predictions of risk factors and accurate estimated times of arrival based on artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning.
It also emphasized that, to expand in the European market, it is implementing digital innovation by providing IT-based logistics services that integrate the entire process from factories, transport, customs clearance, and warehousing to distribution. Maarten Sillevisen, a Kyocera logistics executive who joined the presentation, said, "By applying Samsung SDS's IT-based logistics services, we have increased data transparency and automated decision-making systems, greatly improving logistics efficiency."
Oh Gu-il, head of logistics at Samsung SDS (executive vice president), said, "We will continue to advance AI- and cloud-based technologies and expand our global business."
