Samsung Electronics will unveil its flagship smartphone Galaxy S26, which puts AI features front and center, on the 26th of this month.
Samsung Electronics on the 11th released an invitation saying it will hold the Galaxy S26 Unpacked (new product launch event) at 3 a.m. on the 26th of this month in San Francisco, California. The invitation features the advertising phrase "The Next AI Phone Makes Your Life Easier," along with a star-shaped symbol representing "Galaxy AI" bursting out of a cube-shaped box.
The Unpacked event will be streamed live online via Samsung.com, the Samsung Electronics newsroom, and the Samsung Electronics YouTube channel.
As the invitation suggests, the Galaxy S26 series appears to focus on AI features closely tied to daily life, such as security and app-level device control. Following Google's AI model Gemini, Perplexity is expected to be applied to the S26.
In addition, the S26 is likely to be equipped with Samsung Electronics' in-house application processor (AP), the Exynos 2600, and based on this, the on-device image generation model "EdgeFusion" is expected to be applied. EdgeFusion provides the ability to create an image in one second based on a command entered in text. The top-tier Ultra model is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th generation rather than the Exynos 2600. The Ultra also appears set to include a new AI-based feature called "Privacy Display."
