ESTsoft said on the 9th that it released a region-specialized language model, "Alan LLM Jeju Dialect v1 4B," on Hugging Face, the world's largest open-source platform.
The company said the model applied an open-source-based, advanced fine-tuning technique and, within an efficient scale of 4 billion parameters, achieved precise communication between the Jeju dialect and standard Korean. ESTsoft said, "The release of this Jeju dialect–specialized LLM was carried out to lay the foundation for nationwide AX (AI transformation) through technology advancement optimized for the domestic environment."
Byeon Hyeong-jin, ESTsoft chief AI officer (CAIO), said, "This model is a representative example that demonstrates AX practical capabilities that create real service value by using data specialized for the domestic environment," adding, "We will effectively link domestically specialized AI technological competitiveness centered on optimization and high efficiency with regional infrastructure to achieve a successful nationwide AX."
