Samsung Electronics said on the 6th it will operate a "visiting quick service" with enhanced service accessibility.
Samsung Electronics specialists will visit areas near customers' residential neighborhoods, such as apartment and mixed-use complexes, and run a service booth for about 1 to 2 weeks to provide everything at once from product inspections and repairs to purchase consultations. Inquiries and applications are available through Samsung Store locations near the residence.
The visiting quick service will begin this month targeting some 50 residential areas and is set to expand to more than 500 areas nationwide within the year.
Customers can receive consultations and free inspections regarding issues with products in use, installation environments, and how to use them at the visiting quick service booth installed near their residences. Inspections are provided free of charge, and if repairs are needed, parts and labor costs may be incurred.
If necessary, an engineer from Samsung Electronics Service can also visit the home to check the condition of the product on site.
It will also carry out intensive inspections timed to the usage periods of each product by season. For example, from March to May, it will focus on checking the cooling performance and condition of installed air conditioners in preparation for summer to prevent customer inconvenience in advance.
At the visiting quick service booth, customers can also receive specialized purchase consultations tailored to the specific apartment or mixed-use complex. Customers who want a system air conditioner installed can receive one-stop guidance on customized products and installation schedules that take into account the home's layout, size, and living patterns.
Samsung Electronics also plans to operate a "mobile service center" vehicle equipped with smartphone inspection equipment.
The visiting quick service plans to introduce a submission method via a dedicated online channel in the future.
Kim Myeong-hun, executive director of the Samsung Store customer marketing team, said, "To help customers use Samsung Electronics products more easily and conveniently, we strengthened collaboration with Samsung Store and Samsung Electronics Service and prepared a one-stop service that allows customers to receive everything from consultations and inspections to repairs near their homes at once."
