Lam Research said on the 5th that its component procurement in Korea surpassed 1 trillion won last year.
The company said the achievement reflects Lam Research's long-accumulated business capabilities and a long-term strategy to integrate Korean partners into its global manufacturing network.
Since 2003, Lam Research has systematically built a robust and flexible supply chain with various corporations in Korea.
Materials and components produced in Korea are used not only by Lam Research Manufacturing Korea but also across Lam Research's global manufacturing hubs.
The company also provides joint engineering, rigorous quality processes, and opportunities to participate in the global supply chain, supporting Korean partners in enhancing technological capabilities and quality competitiveness while expanding their entry into overseas markets.
Expanded domestic procurement is also having a positive impact on Korean customers. By increasing the share of local sourcing, the company can reduce reliance on long-distance logistics and mitigate risks from global supply chain disruptions, securing both supply stability and flexibility.
