Supercell said on the 3rd that its mobile game Clash Royale will team up with global hip-hop artist Lil Wayne to present an in-game halftime show.
The collaboration is inspired by halftime shows at global sports events and features a new experience that combines music, gaming, and entertainment on the Clash Royale in-game arena as the stage. Lil Wayne plans to perform a special version of his hit song A Milli reinterpreted for Clash Royale.
The Clash Royale halftime show will be released exclusively in-game at 1 a.m. on Feb. 7, Korea time. It is set up so that the performance begins automatically as users log in and prepare for battle, without any extra steps. The show will feature key Clash Royale characters such as Giant, Goblin, and Musketeer appearing on stage with Lil Wayne to give players an immersive viewing experience.
Regarding the collaboration, Lil Wayne said, "Music, sports, and gaming are all at the center of culture, and I've always enjoyed standing at that intersection," adding, "I'm going to make the Clash Royale arena one of the hottest stages, so log in on Feb. 7 and see for yourself what we've prepared."
