Webzen said on the 3rd that it has changed the title of the indie game "Lemore: Infested Kingdom" to "Memolith: Forsaken by Light" (hereafter Memolith) and is preparing for an official release in the first half of 2026.
Memolith is a turn-based strategy role-playing game (RPG) published by Webzen and developed by the domestic game studio Black Anchor. Since Oct. 2023, it has been available in early access on Steam and Epic Games, Inc..
Over the past two years, Webzen has carried out multiple updates reflecting feedback from early access users, improving the overall gameplay. The title change is intended to more clearly convey the worldbuilding and game direction established during the update process.
The new title "Memolith: Forsaken by Light (MEMOLITH: Forsaken by Light)" reflects the core elements of the game's worldbuilding. Players form an expedition and set out to explore a corrupted city to recover the "Memolith," which has lost its mysterious light.
The official release version to be introduced in the first half of this year will add new content that broadens strategic choices. Players can build their expeditions by combining characters with different traits, 130 types of Memolith shards, skills, and weapons, and will form a three-person expedition to explore about 80 regions.
The changed title will be applied sequentially to the early access pages in accordance with each distribution platform's policies.
